El Etnógrafo plot

John Palmer is an anthropologist who did field research with the Wichi in Argentina's Chaco, fell in love with a local woman, and ended up living there. He supports the Wichi in their fight against companies that try to take their land. In the film, he also assists a family whose man is imprisoned for raping a minor, because his wife's daughter chose him as a partner. Here local tradition clashes with the laws of the land.
