The annual Vent Haven convention in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky is Valhalla for fans of ventriloquism. Filmmaker Mark Goffman portrays five people obsessed with ventriloquism: Dylan, a shy thirteen-year-old, who dreams of becoming a professional but whose father prefers football; Kim, former Miss Ohio, who wants to make it on a cruise ship; Dan, a successful ventriloquist on a cruise ship whose wife is divorcing him when he returns to land; Terry, who, after 22 years of trying, sees himself on NBC's 'America's Got Talent' a shot at winning the million dollars; and Wilma, who is trying to grow in popularity at the Wallmart and retirement homes.
