Dreaming Arizona plot
Where does the dream begin and reality end? That is the question for both the main characters and the spectators in Dreaming Arizona. Known for his staged documentaries, Danish director Jon Bang Carlsen lets five American teenagers from a small town in Arizona play out their own lives – past, present and future. Without commentary, the film alternates between clearly staged situations and fragments in which the young people talk about their own lives, feelings and impactful events. They also have conversations with each other, and if disagreements arise, it remains unclear whether that is real or fake.
