Dolores plot
"Rebel. Activist. Feminist. Mother."
Dolores Huerta started the United States' first farmers' union with co-organizer Cesar Chavez. What begins as a pursuit of racial and labor law soon becomes a struggle for equality between men and women within the same association that she is eventually forced to leave. As she struggles to raise 11 children, three marriages, and is nearly beaten to death by a San Francisco tactical police group, Dolores emerges with a vision that connects her regained feminism with racial and classical justice.
