Director by Night plot
Michael and Anthony Giacchino grew up in Edgewater Park, New Jersey, where they had big dreams. As a teenager, Michael made Super 8 movies, while Anthony took a tape recorder everywhere to record the present and preserve the past. Michael went on to become one of the most renowned film composers of the 21st century and Anthony had a successful career as a documentary filmmaker. Both were awarded an Oscar for their work. While Michael is working on his Marvel directorial debut "Werewolf by Night," Anthony is making a documentary about it. Anthony enters Michael's imaginative world and soon discovers that the heart of Michael's story is not to be found on the set, but in the place where they grew up and the friends he used to make films with.
