Die Silberhöhe plot

Since the fall of the Wall, half of the population of East Germany has left the area. Director Britta Hosman made a documentary about those left behind, in this case residents of Die Silberhöhe ('the silver hill'), a typical GDR neighborhood. Many old blocks of flats stand empty or are being demolished - a giant, dinosaur-like grappling arm breaks pieces of a building.
