Die Mauer plot

The Wall, captured in an unusual documentary. Director Jürgen Böttcher, filmmaker and visual artist, captured the fall of the Berlin Wall on 9 November 1989 and followed events in the months that followed. He mixed, among other things, images projected on the Wall - the East German policeman jumping over the barbed wire - with sounds of demolition and construction machines and recordings of Berliners and tourists chipping stones from the Wall. On December 31, 1989, the first united turn of the year was celebrated there.
