Die Große Passion plot

It is a mammoth project of the theater director Christian Stückl: to show one of the greatest stories of humanity on the big stage of the 41st Oberammergau Passion Play. Not only does he face the lofty task of executing the story perfectly, he also faces the similarities of the 5,000-souled village of Oberammergau. Here, since 1633, when the plague was conquered, the passion story has been staged in a theater spectacle every ten years as a thank you, and certain rules must be observed.
