Delhi - Mumbai - Delhi plot
In 2005, in India's Maharashtra state, all dance halls were closed by law because they would ruin the morale of the youth. This film was made just before this law came into effect. It is an intimate portrait of Riya, a young woman who earns her living dancing in bars in the capital Bombay. Her great example is Rani Mukherjee, one of the most popular Bollywood actresses of the moment. Riya travels back and forth from her hometown of Delhi to Bombay by train, along with many other less-educated girls, in search of a better future for themselves and their families.
