Dei Mjuke Hendene plot

'I'm all alone and poor too, so I'd rather die,' says one of the elderly people in the Norwegian retirement home, portrayed in Dei Mjuke Hendene. They are well cared for, but often also sit and stare despondently. Watching some television now and then and sometimes a birthday party, those are the things that add a little color to their secluded lives. The young documentary maker Margreth Olin shows the ins and outs of the retirement home with a mixture of distance and involvement.
