Deal with It plot
Shamira Raphaëla, 31, made a very personal portrait of her two close relatives, who expose themselves completely (in their native language Papiamento). For example, the viewer sees brother Andy in the supermarket hiding a pack of chicken legs under the pram in which his son is lying. Or father Pempy end up in the hospital due to excessive heroin use. Yet the film does more than just take the viewer into the world of two revolving door criminals. The documentary shows Raphaëla, an ambitious and successful director of popular TV programs in everyday life, also as a caring, loving and funny daughter and sister. Because the two give Raphaëla headaches, but also happiness.
