Dead When I Got Here plot
More dead than alive, Josué arrives at the psychiatric facility on the outskirts of Juaréz, Mexico. After a life on the streets full of drugs and violence, he is emaciated, ill and despondent. The furnishings are badly neglected, the sanitary facilities are old and medical care is scarce. The people who have washed up here - confused and ostracized by society - are completely dependent on each other. And that is exactly what will be Josué's rescue. By caring for others he flourishes and his life takes on content and meaning for the first time. Six years after arriving at the facility half-dead, he's in charge of this house full of untouchables. He tirelessly works for his fellow residents.
