De Stad Was van Ons plot

'The city was ours' unravels the history of the Amsterdam squatters' movement (1975 - 1988) through interviews with squatters from the very beginning, for whom the political struggle was more important than creating living space. On the other hand, there are the squatters for whom political ideology only came in second place. Tensions between the 'hard core' and the later squatters led to a spiral of violence and intimidation.
