De Pedaalridder plot

Partly dramatized documentary about the tragic Rotterdam cycling hero Willem Koopman. From the podium to the gutter, that's how the life of the cyclist and city Don Quixote can be described. His promising career came to a head after he was banned for doping, as "a Lance Armstrong avant la lettre". With well-known fellow citizens such as Jules Deelder and Wilfried de Jong, archive material and re-enacted key moments from Koopman's eventful life.
