De Laatste Eer plot

Documentary about the hundreds of thousands of missing soldiers who were left behind on 'the fields of honour' during the Second World Wars. Where in the past battles were fought on French and Belgian territory, now roads are being built, industrial estates are being built and Vinex neighborhoods are being built. Remains of soldiers who fell and were lost at the time are still found here. English, French, German and American organizations are trying to establish the soldier's identity and search for possible relatives who are sometimes only able to bury their missing grandfather or father eighty years later.
