De Erfenis plot

You get older and discover that you are much more like your parents than you had hoped. To prevent him from losing the relationship with his daughter, as he lost the relationship with his father, main character Daan van der Elsken confronts the past: with his father, photographer and cinematographer Ed van der Elsken, whom he seems to love him. He attributes the severe depressions that plague Daan to his unprocessed traumatic childhood; one captured by his father in numerous photos and multiple films.
