De Bellers plot

During the first corona wave, the families of the patients in the ICU are kept informed by telephone daily by the IC support team of the UMC Amsterdam: the so-called 'lifelines'. This documentary shows the equally harrowing and hopeful stories from the uncertain early days of the pandemic. Sometimes an interim conversation in the hospital with mother and daughter suddenly turns into a goodbye to husband and father. In another case, against all odds, things go well again and a woman is allowed to see her husband for the first time after many weeks.
