Days at the Lennon Park plot

He sits relaxed on a bench under the plane trees, one arm loosely draped over the back. His very elderly guard Juan puts him on those characteristic glasses on request. It is John Lennon, cast in bronze and namesake of John Lennon Park in Havana, Cuba. Tourists take their picture with him and walk on again, but Lennon has his regular visitors. Like war veteran Rodolpho, who does not play Lennon's songs without merit. Or the lively eighties Ondina, who likes to teach passing youth about Lennon. She says he was a revolutionary, loved peace, and that's why Fidel put him there. Director and camerawoman Annelies Kruk joins Lennon and his friends, registers their musings and asks curious questions about their ideals, love and life.
