Daughters of the Sun plot

The Yazidi women were young, often children, when they were kidnapped from the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan. They were brutally separated from their families, forcibly converted to Islam and enlisted as sex slaves by IS fighters. Many of them have now returned to their communities and the question is whether these young women can start a new life. The Dutch-Kurdish filmmaker Reber Dosky traveled to the center of the Yazidi community to record their stories.

what an impressive film, done with such respect and integrity. The young women have gone through hell (details of which are not talked bout, nor shown in the film) and are now in camps. Many have lost their families (the IS genocide). They are trying to build up a life...
