Dame la Mano plot
New York and the nearby Latino neighborhoods in New Jersey are home to many Cuban exiles. Every week they look forward to Sunday, the day when they can enjoy themselves on the worn-out dance floor of dance room La Esquina Habanera. The weekday diner turns into a sizzling dance bar on Sundays. Dancing is a basic necessity for Cubans, such as sleeping, walking, eating, making love and breathing. Dancing is more than a night out, it is the oxygen of the main characters in this film. Through music and dance they forget their daily worries.
