Cuba Son plot

The band 'Son Jubilados' (The Retired) consists of eight talented musicians, with an average age of seventy. They learned the trade at the 'university of the street' and are still performing. Not only on stage, but also and especially on the street: in the sun-drenched squares, stairs, porches and markets of Santiago, home of the Cuban 'son', the typical Cuban sound. "After we die, we will still play because we pass our music on to the next generation," says one of them. Everywhere the musicians go, people dance, sing and clap. Because, it is said, every Cuban has the heart of a bohemian.
