Crawford plot
"What happens to the 705 people of Crawford, Texas when George W. Bush moves to town?"
Filmmaker David Modigliani examines the impact of George W. Bush's presidency on the small Texas town of Crawford, a quintessential American town of only 705 residents. In 1999, then Governor Bush bought a farm there, after which the community experienced enormous growth. Later, when Bush began his presidency, he used the city as a means to justify his ordinary, homey image. But as new stores open on Main Street and Crawford comes into the limelight thanks to the massive influx of television reporters and tourists, some residents begin to feel the negative effects of the entire political circus.
