Cop Shop plot

During the Chinese New Year, more than 200,000 people pass through Guangzhou (Canton) station square every day. Director Zhou Hao has set up his camera in the middle of the police station and records the course of events as an objective observer. The issues that the officers have to deal with are very diverse: workers from the Chinese countryside who have not been paid, people who cannot buy a train ticket, theft and drunkenness. The police station as a window into Chinese society.
