Contact plot
In 1964 the Australian government started launching space rockets from the Great Sandy Desert. A group of officials is tasked with finding a suitable place to drop the debris. In the inhospitable area they come across a group of nomads, a small tribe of only women and children, with no understanding of modern Australia. Yuwali, 62, who was 17 at the time, tells what it was like to see white people for the first time. How the tribe tried to hide from the 'white devils' with their 'moving rocks' and how contact with the outside world changed their traditional Aboriginal existence forever.
