Officially the war with Russia may be over, but in various places in Chechnya the battle is still going on and the inhabitants live in the shadow of the violence. To survive you must always be ready to fight is the attitude of many. Russian director Ksenia Okhapkina shows the repercussions of the war in a village in the Chechen mountains, where the cemetery is a constant reminder of the losses suffered by the community. The gravediggers are always busy; there are many graves and burials. The many grieving women who have lost husbands and sons to the war brave despair by dancing and singing their sorrows and worries away.
