Child of Mine plot

Three couples are followed in two different hospitals for two years. They have one thing in common: they have all lost a child before birth. There are few specialist hospitals for high-risk births in the UK, even though stillbirths affect 1 in 200 babies, one of the highest rates in developed countries. It is a subject that is little talked about, and so the affected parents often feel isolated.
