Chemia plot
In the chemotherapy day ward of a hospital in Warsaw, people meet who have nothing in common but their illness. Old, young, rich, poor - for the few hours that their treatment lasts, they are condemned to each other. Pawel Lozinski lets us be part of the lives of these fellow sufferers for one day. In fact, it is little more than a large bedroom in a district of Warsaw. Patients lie in beds that are almost against each other. There is hardly any room for the nurses, who regularly disconnect or renew IVs. This provides little privacy, but no one seems to mind. There is laughter and crying. But most of all there is talk. About wigs, headscarves, about what you save on shaving and hairdressing costs, nausea, children and pain. About good food and other things that make you feel better.
