Chasing Madoff plot

It took financial analyst Harry Markopolos ten years to get the swindler Bernard Bernie Madoff convicted of one of the biggest stock market frauds in American history. A pair of Wall Street specialists, led by Harry Markopolos, tracked down Madoff's malpractice. Markopolos had literally been handed a document proving in black and white that Madoff was not engaged in kosher practices. The trio investigated the case on their own and took it to so-called neutral bodies and some leading newspapers. However, all downplayed the data and the news never surfaced. Until the foundations collapsed in 2008.
