Chanson pour Amine plot

Since Algeria began its struggle with fundamentalist Islam in the early 1990s, people have regularly 'disappeared' in the country. Amine Amrouch disappeared on January 30, 1997 in Algeria. Security forces kidnapped him in 1997. Since then, his mother Nassera's life has revolved around her fight for truth and justice. She is president of the Mediterranean Federation on Forced Disappearances (FEMED) and spokesperson for a movement of the families of the victims in Algeria. "Initially we asked the government to bring our children back alive," she says. "Now we want that. they tell us the truth and return the bodies of the dead."
