Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore? plot

The documentary follows 29-year-old Jeff Smith. Smith is a political science teacher and a member of Democratic Dick Gephardt's campaign for a congressional seat in Missouri. Jeff has to take on an army of much more seasoned campaign managers in this campaign battle, and the battle seems hopeless. Then Smith assembles his own army of volunteers who have to fill the lack of experience with a lot of enthusiasm.
