Camisea plot

In the 1990s, the first gas pipeline was built right across Peru, finally allowing the country to make large-scale use of its own energy source. The pipeline runs from the Amazon over the Andes, but the capital Lima is on the coast. The 750 kilometer long pipeline is called the Camisea. Enrique Bellande focuses mainly on the social aspect of the construction. Homesickness is their worst enemy of the workers. Small details and breathtaking views over the Andes alternate.
