This documentary highlights the entire career of performance artist Chris Burden, whose first attempts at increasingly dangerous stunts were legendary. For more than 45 years, Chris Burden's work has consistently challenged ideas about the boundaries and nature of modern art. With his seminal works of the 1970s, Burden earned a place in the art history books while he was only in his early twenties. But as the 1970s went by, Burden became disillusioned with the expectations and misconceptions based on his early works, and so the pressure grew, blurring the line between his life and his art.
