Buka Barane is the Kurdish name for a rainbow. This documentary starts with a photo from 1989. This photo shows primary school children standing in front of their school building in the village of Befircan in the Hakkari province, Yuksekova. 23 years after the photo was taken, a wedding is taking place in the village and this moment will be a reunion for all of them. They tell about their lives in the past 23 years. The documentary shows the impact of the war on the small village and especially on the children. They all hope for another wedding, which will take place in a time of peace.
