Brooklyn Stories plot

Like a forgotten relic, the rightfield wall of the Ebbets Field baseball stadium - home of the Brooklyn Dodgers - still stands in Brooklyn, New York. Because there is nothing left in the city of this legendary club of "blanks" that rarely won a game, but was the first to recruit a black player and later moved to Los Angeles for the big bucks. Thorough research on elderly supporters yields tasty anecdotes about the heyday of the Dodgers. The stories not only trace the history of a memorable club, but also illustrate the intertwining of baseball with the idea of the American Dream and with the life of the common man in Brooklyn.
