Breaking Bread plot
"Hummus has no borders."
dr. Nof Atamna-Ismaeel, the first Arab Muslim woman to win the Israeli Master Chef Award, is on a quest for social change through food. That's why she founded the A-sham Arabic Food Festival, where Arab and Jewish chefs collaborate on exotic dishes such as kishek (a Syrian yogurt soup) and qatayef (a dessert commonly served during Ramadan). “Breaking Bread” is a film about hope, creativity and delicious food. This documentary illustrates what happens when people focus on the person instead of his or her religion, on the public instead of the politicians.
