Bird on a Wire plot

The film follows the Canadian singer/songwriter in 1972 on a tour that takes him to the most important cities in Europe and Israel. During the tour, Cohen has to deal with the usual pop star scenes such as malfunctioning equipment, drugs and pushy female fans. Yet director Tony Palmer also managed to conduct some penetrating interviews with Cohen, in which he elaborates on his artistic motives and principles.
