Bijlmer Bajes Blues plot

For months, filmmaker Saskia Vredeveld visited the Overamstel Penitentiary Institution, better known as the Bijlmer Bajes in Amsterdam, with her camera. She not only filmed daily life in the prison, but also started asking the inmates about their dreams, both past and future. Whether the men are up for shoplifting, drugs or murder, they all immediately understand what Vredeveld is asking about.
