Big Ben: Ben Webster in Europe plot

When tenor saxophonist Ben Webster lived in the Netherlands for a year in 1967, he was already a living legend within the jazz world. He was 58 at the time and had played with virtually every major band, including the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Webster, nicknamed Big Ben, rented a space in Amsterdam from the elderly Mrs. Hartlooper. He was pampered by her and was even seen on television with her in Mies Bouwman's popular show.
