This documentary tells the great story of the Holocaust through the poignant fate of renowned magician Prof. Ben Ali Libi. During a raid by the Germans in Amsterdam South on June 20, 1943, Ben Ali Libi is arrested together with his wife. They then go via Westerbork transit camp to Sobibor. Was Ben Ali Libi one of the 34,000 Dutch Jews who died in Sobibor? In the form of a quest, we reconstruct his life, his successful career, and the early years of the war - when he performed for Jewish forced laborers in Dutch labor camps - through archive images and poignant testimonies.
