Becoming plot

Becoming is a short film about the miracle of the origin of life. In great detail we see the 'making of' of an alpine newt in the transparent egg from the first cell division to hatching. A single cell is transformed into a complete, complex living organism with a beating heart and circulating blood. The early stages of embryo development are roughly the same for all animals, including humans. In the film we see a process that normally remains invisible: the very beginning of an animal's life.
