Beachy Head plot

'It's not a trip to paradise, it's a way out of hell.' So says Bill Hull, one of the few who jumped off the dramatic cliffs of Beachy Head and remembered it. In his classically structured film, Roel van Broekhoven portrays not only these 'lucky birds', but also those who brought them back up and Beachy Head itself. The site is not only a popular attraction especially among seniors, but it also has - as medical archivist John Surtees notes - the dubious honor of being the most popular natural suicide site in the world (an average of 17 per year for the last two decades).
