Batalives plot

Tomás Bata and his stepbrother Jan Antonín Bata were the founders of shoe manufacturer Bata. In the 1920s they started expanding from their home town of Zlín. All over the world, factories and villages were built according to a unique social and architectural model. Today, only a few remain, including Zlín in the Czech Republic, Bata-Borovo in Croatia, Batanagar in India, Bataypora in Brazil and Batadorp in the Netherlands. This documentary tells the story of the people who still live in these villages.
