"If you can remember the 80's, you weren't there!"

The Berlin of the 1980s. Even before the end of the Cold War, the divided city was a mecca for artists, squatters and bon vivants. At that time, Berlin was the meeting place for artists of any significance. The film looks into the last decade where there is still an East and West Berlin and tries to shine a light on this period with the help of interviews and original recordings, for example by Nick Cave and Blixa Bargeld.
