Allergy Planet plot

British documentary by Naomi Austin about the growing increase in asthma, eczema and all kinds of food allergies that were previously unheard of. We meet patients with a wide variety of allergies, such as eight-year-old Danny, who has a life-threatening allergy to dogs. Ten-year-old Margharita even has 896. We continue to look for possible causes, from the 'hygiene hypothesis' (we have lost our defenses because of our clinical lifestyle), to theories of evolution that suggest that our bodies are no longer adapted to our environment. Fifty years ago, 1 person in 30 was allergic. Now the ratio is 1 to 3.
