Alien Gods plot

Our civilization as we know it emerged as if by magic. For thousands of years, ancient man hunted and gathered, but after thousands of generations, humanity suddenly and out of nowhere settled down. Suddenly complex tools, art, literature, agriculture, mathematics, astronomy and enormous monuments to the gods of ancient Sumer appear. The same Gods who, according to the Sumerian clay tablets of civilization, had come down to give us knowledge and life.
