In 1980, the young scientist Victor DeNoble is hired by a large tobacco manufacturer. Fourteen years later, despite the sworn statement by industry executives, he testifies before Congress that nicotine is addictive and the research he conducted could prove it. The documentary tells the story of one of the most important whistleblowers of our time, who hit one of America's most powerful industries like a bomb.
