For the first time since the Algerian War of Independence (1954-1962), Malek, the father of director Dorothée Myriam Kellou, is back in his native village Mansourah. During the war, the French army forcibly transported more than two million Algerians to resettlement camps. In the house where he was born, Malek and his daughter try to remember exactly what happened and why most people were silent all these years. Few people know about the destruction of the villages, while the consequences for the rural inhabitants were enormous.
