Known as America's best codebreaker, Bill Binney is still shocked when he sees the images of the burning Twin Towers, only to reveal what came before them. How as a smart mathematician during the Cold War he eavesdropped on the Russians and later formed a small team within the NSA that found the answer to the digital information explosion that drowned the intelligence service. An answer that was pushed aside by the NSA top so that, say Binney and former associates, the terrorists of 9/11 could have their way.
