À Ciel Ouvert plot

In Puna, Argentina, the local indigenous population has suddenly found itself in the center of national and international interest due to the wealth of resources in the area. The government has authorized a Canadian company, Standard Silver, to open an open-air mine. This mine is to become one of the largest and most productive mines in Latin America. The living conditions of the inhabitants, mostly poor llama herders, will deteriorate as a result. They try to make a stand against the powerful corporation and the government that pull out all the stops to try to sow divisions among the inhabitants.
