The Chinese village of Dafen was once the place from which thousands of professional painters made reproductions of Western masterpieces. At the initiative of the government, these artists now paint their own original works. These are now hanging across China, in various places: in hospitals, museum halls and business premises, on office walls and at public outdoor locations.
